Ritter receives Beta Gamma Sigma award
Beta Gamma Sigma, the international business honor society, recently named Barbara Ritter, assistant professor of management at Coastal Carolina University, its 2010 Outstanding Chapter Advisor.“We are pleased to present Dr. Ritter with this honor,” said George E. Stevens, national president of Beta Gamma Sigma. “Throughout her years as chapter adviser, she has exemplified the mission of the society and encouraged others to do the same.”
Ritter has served as the faculty adviser of the Beta Gamma Sigma collegiate chapter at Coastal Carolina University since the fall of 2004. Under Ritter’s leadership, the Coastal Carolina University chapter has earned Beta Gamma Sigma Premier Chapter status for the last three years, attaining 100 percent acceptance of eligible students in two of those years.
