Keller has sculpture in Columbia Museum of Art

Elizabeth Keller recently had a sculpture purchased for the Columbia Museum of Art last summer. Penjing Tea #4 with 3 cups, a hybrid sculptural and functional work, had been curated into a museum exhibition that ran from fall 2015 to early spring 2016. It ran concurrently with the Georgia O'Keefe exhibition and featured 32 women artists in South Carolina, called “Independent Spirits: Women Artists of South Carolina.” Shortly after the conclusion of the exhibition, the museum director contacted her to request its purchase for their permanent collection. 

The museum published an exhibition catalogue for the show that includes an essay from the curator at that time, Virginia Cooke, talking about the artists featured and art by women in our state, and a page featuring Keller's work.
