Central Energy Plant to shut down March 12

Notice from the department of Facilities Planning and Management:

The Central Energy Plant will be down on Sunday, March 12, to repair a valve on the cooling tower. We will start draining the system at midnight Saturday night and should have the plant back up and running by 5 p.m. Sunday afternoon. The following buildings will not have air conditioning during this outage:

• Lib Jackson Student Union
• Wheelwright Auditorium,
• Kearns Hall
• Kimbel Library
• Bryan Information Commons
• Singleton Building
• Prince Building
• Baseball and Softball stadiums
• Swain Hall
• Science Annex II
• Atheneum Hall Chauncey’s Choice

We apologize for any inconvenience this may present, but it is imperative we get this repair completed and the plant running again before the heat sets in.
