CCU art students paint the town

Have you seen the beautiful wall murals on our campus? The faculty member and students behind the art are now taking their talent into the community.

Cat Taylor and his Arts 499 class are working on a mural on the side of the Grand Strand Masonic Lodge located at 919 6th Avenue South in North Myrtle Beach. An official unveiling of the completed mural will take place this month.

Taylor, a CCU lecturer and a mason, said there are masonic symbols throughout the mural. The Eye of Providence, the sun and moon, and black and white tile symbolize good and evil, and two columns support the earth and universe.
