  • Walmart in Myrtle Beach continues tradition of donating to CCU's LiveWell program during Move-In Weekend

    Coastal Carolina University received a $9,500 donation from Myrtle Beach area Walmart stores during CCU’s recent Back-to-School event at the Carolina Forest Walmart on Myrtle Ridge Drive. Donations were collected from area Walmart stores, and the store managers presented a check to CCU President David A. DeCenzo in front of the Walmart location during the event. This contribution benefits the LiveWell health initiative at CCU.

  • CCU reveals NASCAR driver's Brandon Brown throwback car at Darlington Raceway

    Coastal Carolina University and Brandonbilt Racing revealed NASCAR driver and CCU alumnus Brandon Brown’s throwback car at Darlington Raceway on Aug. 13 in conjunction with Darlington Raceway’s Throwback Weekend, which focuses on the years 1990-1994. Brown’s No. 86 Coastal Carolina ZL1 Chevrolet Camaro throwback look pays homage to Terry Labonte’s 1993 Kellogg’s Cornflakes car; 1993 is the year CCU achieved status as an independent, public institution.
