- Coastal Carolina University, technical colleges sign partnership agreement to enhance transfer
Coastal Carolina University and the S.C. Technical College System signed a partnership agreement designed to enhance the seamless transfer of students and graduates from the 16 technical colleges in South Carolina to Coastal Carolina University. This agreement works to increase and encourage access to baccalaureate education for two-year college students, including minority and other underrepresented populations.

Burroughs & Chapin, one of the leading property development and management companies in the Southeast, has made a $500,000 donation to support scholarships for local students who attend Coastal Carolina University. The newly established Burroughs & Chapin Horry County Annual Scholarship Fund will benefit students who have graduated from a public or private high school within the county.

- CCU brings information, resources to students during awareness week
From Oct. 7-11, Coastal Carolina University is hosting a Sexual and Dating/Domestic Violence Week. The LiveWell Office, along with SHORE Peer Educators, SAGE, and Women’s and Gender Studies program, will be sponsoring events throughout the week to raise student awareness about sexual, dating, and domestic violence, as well as to educate students about the resources that are available to them at CCU.

There are many ways students and the rest of the campus community at Coastal Carolina University receive important messages. One of those, the Mass Notification System, is reserved solely for emergency situations. It was tested during the annual PrepareAthon.
- CCU competes in AORE Campus Challenge to promote healthy habits
Coastal Carolina University is participating in the Mother-Nature-meets-March-Madness AORE Campus Challenge. AORE stands for the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education, and is making its inaugural debut at CCU this year.
