**Coronavirus Information**

In recognition of the severity and uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Association for Service Excellence in Higher Education (ASEHE) made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 ASEHE Conference.  

Please know that the ASEHE Board of Directors and I explored several alternative options before making this difficult and disappointing decision. The goal of keeping the safety of our members, attendees, and staff the priority while delivering an exceptional learning and networking opportunity led to the conclusion that during this unprecedented situation the best option is to cancel this conference and host the second ASEHE conference at a date to be determined very soon. 

  1. If you already purchased your ticket on eventbrite look for a confirmation email of cancelation and verify a refund of funds.  
  2. If you booked your hotel reservation at the DoubleTree Ocean Resort please contact the resort directly to cancel your reservation.  The number is (843) 315-7100.  The DoubleTree will still honor the conference rate if you would like to keep your reservation and vacation in Myrtle Beach.

The Association for Service Excellence in Higher Education (ASEHE) is a network of diverse professionals who support the concept of service excellence within higher education and are dedicated to the collaboration of ideas, best practices and trends for the betterment of institutional service delivery, as well as customer retention and engagement.

We understand that the customer is not always right and we agree that we are not and should not be exactly like Disney. Colleges/universities are very different from a tourist attraction and comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges. That being said, there are certain leaders in higher education that see service excellence as not only a possibility but a priority. We are exploring how service on campus ties to retention, the best practices with service training, collaborating on ideas to measure success and other concepts connected to this idea.
