MBA department announces new concentration and certificate program

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Coastal Carolina University now features a new certificate and concentration for the Fall 2018 semester. Students enrolled in the MBA program can now choose to receive a certificate or earn a concentration in health care administration.

“We are excited to welcome our first students to our new HealthCare Administration Certificate and MBA with Healthcare concentration this Fall,” said Heather Read, graduate program manager for the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration. “We believe both programs offer compelling options for those in pursuit of management and leadership positions in the healthcare industry, whether managing their own medical and dental practices, or working in organizations in insurance, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, rehabilitation centers, or long-term care facilities.”

The health care administration concentration was developed for those who are interested in the business and leadership aspect of the healthcare sector and organizations. Medical and health care management is one of the fastest-growing fields in the country. Graduates from MBA health care programs have worked as hospital administrators, pharmaceutical brand managers, health care consultants and more.
