Online PDAs


Below you will find a list of online PDA options. To earn PDA credit, you will need to watch the presentation/workshop and then reflect on what you learned and its relevance to your career development by completing the PDA Credit Request form. For the “contact information of speaker/coordinator of event/activity” section, include the name of the presenter in the video for the “representative,”pda@coastal.edu for the “email” and 843-349-2708 for the “phone.” A separate form submission must be made for each presentation or workshop.

*A maximum of six (6) PDA credits can be earned through these online PDA options.

PDA Title: The Big Interview-105B

Description: The Big Interview gives you the practice you need for YOUR goals and situation. Don’t guess on what to practice. Follow the organized tracks of lesson curriculum and interview practice. The FAST TRACK will quickly cover essential tips and most common questions, or the MASTERY TRACK allows you to dive in deep for those ultra-competitive interviews.

Instructions:

1. The Big interview has two levels of completion- Fast Track and Mastery.  Both are available for you to use, however, fast track is required for two (2) PDA credits. Three (3) PDA credits will be offered for the mastery level. 

2. Visit https://coastal.biginterview.com/, and register with your CCU email.

3. When you finish the process, you will need to print out the completion certificate and then submit it along with your PDA Credit Request form. (attached)

PDA Title: Online LinkedIn Intensive- 104B

LinkedIn Intensive is a virtual workshop covering steps to create a profile that stands out and techniques for making great contacts who can open doors.

*Completion of the LinkedIn Intensive workshop and submission of the PDA Credit Request Form will count as three (3) PDA credits. (A link to the PDA Credit Request Form can be found at the bottom of this page.)

PDA Title: Career Skills Boot Camp- 108B

The Career Skills Boot Camp series consists of online presentations on the following topics: setting goals, establishing direction, personal branding, networking, information interviews, email, presentations and time management.

PDA Title: Get-Hired Boot Camp- 108B

The Get-Hired Boot Camp series consists of online presentations on the following topics: resume and LinkedIn profile, two-hour job search, elevator pitch, LinkedIn networking, company research, interviewing, Twitter, negotiation and personal branding.

PDA Title: Career Change Boot Camp- 101B

This series is primarily focused on career change as it pertains to MBA students. However, the content is also applicable to students of all ages who are investigating career options, are looking for a change in professional direction or wanting to advance faster in their current field with their current employer. Presentations will cover topics including interpreting assessment test results, networking to make strategic connections, writing resumes using the MBA and past experience to establish value in the new direction, conducting informational interviews to open doors, “bridge jobs” to fill employment gaps, and using LinkedIn and other social media platforms to get attention and identify opportunities.
