Organizational mission or general goals:
SCSEP (Senior Community Service Employment Program) assists job seekers age 55+ obtain hands on training at local public and not-for-profit organizations to obtain skills/experience to secure employment which will improve their quality of life.
Primary services provided:
Assist job seekers age 55+ obtain training and employment. Initially, we try to assign participants with public and IRS 501c3 organizations. While at these organizations, participants provide services to their community while they receive hands-on experience to update/learn skills while continuing their job search. Assignments are usually 20 hours a week and pay minimum wage, $7.25 per hour.
