The grand finale, at least for his undergraduate career, has arrived for Amani Phipps. The business management student from New Orleans started his senior year last week. Don’t expect him to coast.

“I want to focus on leaving a lasting impression on Coastal’s campus,” Amani says when asked what he hopes to achieve this academic year.

We like his chances! Amani will continue to participate in the numerous clubs he has been part of during his time at CCU, advancing the goals and initiatives he finds worthwhile. He will also positively impact Coastal students, many who look up to him as a leader, whether it be because of his time on the CINO Quest leadership team or because of the humble way he carries himself on campus.

Grateful to #TEALnation, Amani credits CCU with developing his social and networking skills. Additionally, Coastal has increased his love for learning even more. Amani plans to attend graduate school at Howard and eventually earn his doctorate.

“Coastal helped me be a better human being in general,” Amani summarizes.

Let the legacy building begin. Already on the right track with plenty of accomplishments to look back on, we are excited to see what Amani does during his final year at Coastal.

Amani is a business law student.
