Carly Hilton means business this semester. To help her succeed during a crucial point in her academic career, she is sticking with her personal motto of “quit slackin’ and make it happen.” Not that she “slacked” before this point, it is just that Carly is starting to see her dream come into focus.

A junior from Swedesboro, N.J., Carly is an accounting major who has big plans to pass the CPA exam and set out to practice at a firm on the West Coast. Knowing that it won’t be May 2019 tomorrow, she is still focusing on her remaining time as a Chanticleer.

“I really think CCU has given me leadership opportunities and it has definitely helped me open up and better myself,” Carly says.

These opportunities include holding a few key roles in her sorority. Currently the vice president of finance for Sigma Kappa, Carly has used this position and previous leadership opportunities to help her grow as a person and a future professional.

Arriving at Coastal as a reserved young woman who didn’t know anyone, Carly has emerged as a confident leader who has made an impact on campus. In the near future she will look to extend that impact beyond #TEALnation.

Carly is from Swedesboro, N.J.
Carly wants to move to the west coast upon graduation.
