CCU to host a virtual panel discussion to celebrate the legacy of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

The Women's and Gender Studies program at Coastal Carolina University is hosting a virtual panel discussion to celebrate the life and impact of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Thursday, Oct. 15, at 5 p.m. To join the virtual discussion, click here.

The discussion will include women attorneys and judges from across the country along with CCU's Holley Tankersley, Ph.D., associate provost, and Mikel Norris, Ph.D., associate professor of political science. The panel will be moderated by Wendy Weinhold, Ph.D., assistant professor of journalism.

Justice Ginsburg, who died Sept. 18, was the second woman appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court. She was known for fighting for women's rights, LGBTQ+ rights, racial issues, and more.
