CCU to hold application drive-thru week Dec. 7-10

December 2, 2020
CCU to hold application drive-thru week Dec. 7-10.

Coastal Carolina University is hosting an Horry County Application Drive-Thru Week Dec. 7-10. Each day from 3-4:30 p.m., Horry County high school students and Horry-Georgetown Technical College students will have the opportunity to easily apply to CCU and receive a $45 application fee waiver when they drop off or complete an online application at the event.

During this four-day event, students can stop by CCU's Lot GG, located at the corner of U.S. Highway 501 and University Blvd., and drop off their application.

Visit coastal.edu/chants to learn more and register to attend.

Those students who want to apply in-person will be able to park their car and a member of CCU's Office of Admissions and Merit Awards will assist them with the online application process. All visitors and staff are required to wear a mask. Students are encouraged to bring a laptop or digital device, along with their high school or college transcript(s), to complete the online application. Internet service will be provided.

"Due to COVID-19, we recognize that this year's college application cycle has presented challenges for many students," said Amanda Craddock, CCU's associate provost for enrollment management. "Since the admissions counselors cannot physically visit students in their schools to assist them in completing their CCU application, we are hosting the drive-thru event to offer the same type of help. While it might look a little different this year, our goal is the same - to provide an opportunity for our local residents to apply to Coastal Carolina University."

Members of the Office of Admissions and Merit Awards will be on-site to answer questions and provide more information about attending the University. Click here to learn more about freshmen admissions requirements, or click here for transfer admissions requirements.
