WATCH: CCU U.N. Youth Crops students explore Black River Cypress Preserve
June 21, 2021
Students from Coastal Carolina University’s U.N. Youth Corps are interning this summer in Georgetown County as part of the Georgetown RISE program. All of those internships have the students focused on sustainability. As a demonstration of the types of environments that sustainability efforts can benefit, members of the Youth Corp spent time recently at the Black River Cypress Preserve. They hiked and biked through a landscape full of biodiversity and also kayaked the pristine Black River.
