CCU’s Grant Center to host annual Economic Growth and Real Estate Summit in Myrtle Beach March 18

March 2, 2022

Coastal Carolina University’s Grant Center for Real Estate and Economics will present the 23rd annual Economic Growth and Real Estate Summit from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on March 18, 2022, at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach. Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30 a.m. The cost for the event is $60, which includes a full breakfast buffet and refreshment break. Details about registration and sponsorship opportunities can be found here.

The summit is a premier networking event where leaders from the private and public sectors can discuss key issues impacting their organizations, meet potential new clients and partners, and share ideas for a stronger economy. This year’s summit features three speakers: Morris Ellison, partner at Womble Bond Dickinson; Robert Salvino, CCU research economist and director of the Grant Center for Real Estate and Economics; and Kirk Lovell, managing director of air service consulting at Mead & Hunt. S.C. State Representative Tim McGinnis, a Grand Strand area business owner and leader, will emcee this year’s event.

“We are pleased to host important discussions on key issues affecting the region and the nation,” Salvino said. “Coastal Carolina University and the Grand Strand are leading the way to sustain economic opportunity and accommodate growth for all generations.”

Employers seeking new talent are encouraged to take advantage of a limited number of booth spaces to promote opportunities to the attendees, including CCU’s Wall Fellows, CoBE Fellows, HTC Honors College Research Fellows, graduate students, members of the Coastal Real Estate Club, and other motivated professionals ready to solidify their next career moves.

“Because of the support and generosity of our entire community of stakeholders, our summit continues to grow in meaningful directions,” Salvino said.

Promotional sponsors for this year’s event are KingOne Properties International, Horry Georgetown Home Builders Association, E.F. Hucks & Associates, Rivertown Property Inspections, Santee Cooper, and CoStar Group.
