Coastal Carolina University business students will have an opportunity to interact with industry experts on campus during Wall Connections, a signature educational event sponsored annually by the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held Tuesday, Feb. 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Wheelwright Auditorium and the Lib Jackson Student Union’s Coastal Theater.

CCU alumni and nationally known innovative business leaders will conduct various educational sessions according to this year’s theme: “Imagining Tomorrow.”

This year’s guest speakers include Robert Britton, airline industry expert and adjunct professor of marketing and crisis management at Georgetown University; Jason Greene, executive director at Habitat for Humanity of Horry County; Jennifer Hotai, CEO of Plover Animation; Mark Murphy ’06, director of International Business Development at STAR HARBOR; Colin Stevens ’06, founder of Colin Stevens Coaching; and Karen Riordan, president and CEO of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce. Moderating the discussion will be Cobi Williams ’20, business liaison for CCU’s Grant Center for Real Estate and Economics.

Speakers will cover various contemporary business topics such as corporate social responsibility and leadership in the modern age, navigating the metaverse and other technology trends, as well as preparing for a career during economic uncertainty.

“Wall Connections is by far one of the most beneficial and rewarding events that you could possibly attend as a business student at Coastal,” said Sunny Hardwick, a Degree in Three student majoring in entrepreneurial management. “Through this event, I had the opportunity to hear from so many successful individuals about who they were and about how they grew to be where they are now in the business industry. Being able to ask all the questions I wanted and interact with the speakers, as well as hear other thoughts and questions, was such an amazing opportunity. To be there, surrounded by so many great people, leaders, and likeminded individuals, is an experience I’ll forever remember!”
