Adjusted CCU Hours and Services

We ask all students to remain away from campus while online instruction is in place. During this period, essential student services, including housing, dining, health, and safety, will be maintained on a modified basis. As Coastal Carolina University moves to online instruction, these are the limited services that are available at this time.

Accessibility and Disability Services has transitioned to online operations. All appointments and meetings will be held either via phone or online spaces. Please use the following methods to connect with ADS:

  • Students currently connected with ADS can schedule appointments via Accommodate.
  • Students and instructors can email disability@coastal.edu with questions.
  • Students and instructors can call 843-349-2503 and leave a voicemail message with the following details: name, purpose for calling, number where you can be reached.

Admissions and Merit Awards M-TH 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Available via phone at 843-349-2170 or email admissions@coastal.edu.

South Carolina Residency Questions M-TH 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Available via phone at 843-349-2784 or email scresidency@coastal.edu.

Advising is available to all students, but by remote means only. Please contact your advisor directly by email. To locate your advisor contact info, visit WebAdvisor and select “My Profile” in the Academic Profile category.

Career Services will provide appointments in an online/phone format. Students or alumni who want to make an appointment should call 843-349-2341 M-TH 8 a.m. to 5 p.m and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Online resources such as resume samples, Big Interview online interview preparation, and CCU Handshake for jobs/internships are available at www.coastal.edu/career

CeTEAL is available M-TH 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to assist with transitioning classes online and other faculty needs. Sessions meet via Skype, Teams or Zoom. We can meet individually via Skype, Teams, phone, or any method that works best for you. Please review our CeTEAL Web Page for further information. Chanticleer Bookstore is closed but is accepting orders online for delivery. For questions, please utilize their online contact form. Responses may be delayed as they will be working remotely with limited access.

Rental Textbook Information: The deadline for rental textbooks has been extended to June 15.  Students will not be charged late return fees if they are unable to return their books in time.  The grace period for rental returns has been extended through the first week of Fall classes.  All rental textbooks are to be returned by mail using the free shipping label found on the Chanticleer Store website at https://coastal.bncollege.com/shop/coastal/page/rental-book-return.

CINO Card Office is available M-TH 8 a.m. to 5 p.m and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The CINO Card Office can be reached by telephone at 843-349-6435 or via email at cinocard@coastal.edu.

COOL (Coastal Office of Online Learning) provides training and helpdesk support to the campus’ online and digital learning needs, including the Moodle LMS, Echo360, and other digital learning support systems, as well as for the Summer Digital Learning Training Institutes and OER initiatives at CCU. COOL is available yhrough ITS ticketing, email, web conferencing, training workshops, and one-on-one appointsments to assist faculty and campus support staff. Email coastalonline@coastal.edu M-TH 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. during the Summer Hours for the quickest support, and view our Digital Learning Academy Continuity Site for the most updated information on teaching and learning remotely.

Counseling Services is offering tele-mental health services for students in the form of consultations or online sessions, if appropriate. To schedule a tele-mental health consultation, please call 843-349-2305 M-Th 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For after hours, call Public Safety at 843-349-2177 and ask for the on-call counselor.”

Dining Services Starting May 9, 2020 all dining locations are closed until further notice. If you are experiencing food insecurity and need additional assistance please reach out to the Dean of Students Office by telephone at 843-349-4161, via email at dso@coastal.edu, or by using the Food Insecurity/Meal Swipe Support Request Form.  Additional resources can be found on the Single Stop Resources for Students webpage found here.

Financial Aid and Scholarships M-TH 8 a.m. to 5 p.m ad F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Available via phone at 843-349-2313 or email finaid@coastal.edu.

Graduate Studies is available M-TH 8 a.m. to 5 p.m and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Available via phone at  843-349-2394 or email graduate@coastal.edu.

Hackler Golf Course is open for play. Tee Times are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with the golf shop open until 6 p.m. daily.

Human Resources and Equal Opportunity can be reached M-TH 8 a.m. to Noon and 1:30 to 5 p.m. and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. by telephone at 843-349-2036.

Kimbel Library/Bryan Information Commons is by remote means only, consisting of chat, email, text, and telephone. We are available 8 a.m. to midnight to answer questions. Library online assistance is available seven days per week from 8 a.m.-midnight. The physical library has a small crew that can accept curbside drop offs Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m.

Mail Services (beginning July 6) will be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. for departments and residents who are authorized to remain on campus. Interior access to the building is not available. Patrons are to come to the side door of Sands Hall and staff will bring packages and mail from the mailboxes to you. During the week of June 29- July 3, Mail Services will be open Wednesday, July 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursday, July 2 from 9 a.m. to noon, and will be closed on Friday, July 3.

To have your mail forwarded you can submit a Mail Forwarding Form. Only USPS mail can be forwarded through this process. FedEx, UPS, and DHL packages cannot be forwarded at this time.

Office of Sponsored Programs and Research Services (OSPRS) team is available M-Th 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. by phone, email or video-chat to provide comprehensive services to faculty, staff and graduate students regarding new grant proposals, active grant awards and new or current human subject research protocols. Registrar's Office is available M-TH 8 a.m. to 5 p.m and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. by phone and email only. Please call 843-349-2019 or email registrar@coastal.edu.

Student Accounts’ lobby is currently closed to visitors but staff is available to answer questions. Please send questions to studentaccounts@coastal.edu or call 843-349-2159 between 8:00AM and 5:00PM Monday through Thursday and 8a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Include: name, student ID and preferred email. Most of the staff will be working remotely during this period so there may be a delay in response time. Your patience is appreciated.

Student Computing Services is available M-F 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and S-S 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 843-349-2220, 843-349-2908 or through their Support Request Form. You can Learn more here.

Student Health Services is open M-TH 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (walk-ins until 4 p.m.) and F 8 a.m. to Noon (walk-ins until 11:30 a.m.) CLOSED on S-S. Closed on Holidays.

Transportation Services No shuttles will be running until further notice.

Tutoring and Academic Coaching is available through the Coastal Student Success Center, including online Tutoring (Mathematics, Writing Center, Foreign Languages) and Academic Coaching Sessions. You can also click here for additional online tutoring.

University Housing is available M-TH 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and F 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. by phone at 843-349-6400 or email housing@coastal.edu. Residents who are approved to remain on campus can contact their RA On-Call if they have an emergency facility issue or are locked out; for contact information, visit University Housing Directory.
