Rasheed Norman has always been the go-to guy for technical difficulties. At a young age growing up in the quiet area of Little River, S.C., Rasheed took an interest in computers and has continued to develop that passion at CCU. Working as a technician for ITS-Student Computing Services, Rasheed has been able to develop skills that will help him in his future endeavors.
Becoming a resident adviser is no easy feat. A lot of hard work goes into being selected to this influential post. It is no surprise then that Rasheed’s favorite CCU moment was when he was hired as an RA. Although the position is challenging, Rasheed has learned a lot and grown as a person.
“I have dealt with so many situations from so many different people, that I would have to say that the whole experience of being a resident adviser and being able to assist my residents has been very positive for me.”
Rasheed, after switching his major, found that studying communication and minoring in philosophy was the right academic combination for him to pursue. When he is not in class or performing his RA duties, Rasheed loves to spend time with friends and peruse Amazon.
Describing himself as determined, Rasheed constantly works to achieve his many goals. Coastal Carolina has helped him grow not only academically but socially as well. Whether he is helping his residents in Oak Hall or helping students fix their computers issues, Rasheed is dedicated to bettering the CCU community.
