Oakley joins the CCU Office for Philanthropy
“Keith is a seasoned fundraiser who will be a tremendous asset to Coastal’s Office for Philanthropy,” said Mark Roach, vice president for philanthropy. “He had great success during his nearly 30-year tenure at North Carolina State University. I am confident that his experience and understanding of higher education fundraising will lead to much success in raising support for the Wall College of Business and its students and faculty.”
Prior to joining Coastal, Oakley was the assistant dean for advancement at NCSU’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences and the president of the North Carolina Agricultural Foundation Inc. He oversaw the college’s foundations and development office as well as its college relations and alumni activities. Oakley also directed the ongoing $400 million campaign for the CALS. He managed a portfolio of more than 275 individuals and corporations with an annual personal fundraising goal of $15 million.
“I am honored to become a part of the Coastal Carolina University family,” Oakley said. “It’s great be engaged with a dynamic and growing university such as Coastal Carolina. I am excited about working with Dean Barbara Ritter and the E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration. When you combine a warm and inviting culture with great leadership and wonderful students, faculty and staff, Coastal Carolina University really is the place to be. I look forward to being a part of Coastal’s bright future and success.”
Oakley’s background also includes serving as director of development for the North Carolina Child Advocacy Institute; director of corporate relations at Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C.; and director of alumni relations at Campbell University in Buies Creek, N.C.
