CCU invites Teal Nation to participate in #givingTEALtuesday on Nov. 27

November 7, 2018
Coastal Carolina University will hold its third annual #givingTEALtuesday on Nov. 27 in conjunction with #GivingTuesday.

Coastal Carolina University will hold its third annual #givingTEALtuesday on Nov. 27 in conjunction with #GivingTuesday, an annual day of giving that encourages philanthropy worldwide. The event is held on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Kenneth E. Swain, the namesake of CCU’s Swain Hall and the Swain Scholars program, and Chad Casselman, a 1998 CCU computer science graduate who lives in Myrtle Beach, have made generous lead gifts in support of #givingTEALtuesday. All members of Teal Nation – alumni, faculty, staff, students, parents and friends – are invited to join Swain and Casselman in supporting CCU’s students.

Donations can be made to one or more of the following nine endowed scholarship funds: E. Craig Wall Sr. College of Business Administration, Spadoni College of Education, Thomas W. and Robin W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fine Arts, College of Science, HTC Honors College, CCU Alumni Association, Women in Philanthropy and Leadership for CCU, Chanticleer Athletics, and the I’M IN 2 endowment campaign. Endowed funds are one of the most vital sources of funding, as they provide a stable, ongoing source of income to ensure the University provides access to a comprehensive liberal arts education.

To make a gift during #givingTEALtuesday on Nov. 27, go to coastal.edu/gtt, text GTT to 91999 or visit the donation table outside the Lib Jackson Student Union. For more information, contact Sarah Craig, associate director of annual giving, at 843-349-2009.
