Watch: Coastal recovery after Dorian

September 8, 2019
The campus sustained minimal damage after Hurricane Dorian swept past the coast, and University officials prepared the day after to reopen campus.

Hurricane Dorian passed by South Carolina without ever making landfall in the state. That meant that conditions were far better than they could have been.

Coastal Carolina University closed down and got students out of the way of the approaching storm. Once Dorian departed, officials returned to campus to prepare for the return of those who evacuated.
