Listed below are the available accommodations and resources for the commencement ceremony. If you require additional services or have questions, please contact the Office of Special Events, at 843-349-2811 or, by Aug. 3, 2020, so that we can coordinate any accommodations needed. Our top priority is an enjoyable experience for all of our guests.

Accessible Seating

Accessible seating is available in the corner regions of the floor seating area and in the first row of each bleacher section, which is designated by white and blue tape. Due to high demand, patrons using accessible seating may have one companion accompany them in the accessible seating areas. As space permits, families and friends are welcomed to sit near or behind individuals using accessible seating. However, it is important to note that accessible seating areas, like all commencement seating, is available on a first-come, first served basis. Event staff will be on hand the day of commencement to assist.

Hearing Impaired Services

Hearing-impaired guests are recommended to sit in section 105, in view of the American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter on stage. Interpreters will not sign while graduate names are being read. Assisted listening devices are available for use inside the HTC Center. These can be borrowed from the Chant 411 service table located at the Gate 1 entrance inside the HTC Center. A photo ID will be required to check out equipment.
