ARGENTINA, 1985

Santiago Mitre’s 2022 Argentine Oscar-nominated historical legal drama follows the 1985 trial of the Juntas, which involved members of the military government ruling under the dictatorship of the Proceso de Reorganzacion Nacional. Christopher Gunn, associate professor of history, and Edurne Beltrán de Heredia Carmona, assistant professor of Spanish, introduce the film and leads a discussion after the screening.
