PLYMOUTH PLANTATION AND THE LYFORD CONSPIRACY OF 1624
Wednesday, Nov. 15, 4 p.m.

John Navin, professor in CCU’s Department of History, discusses the crisis that rocked the fragile Plymouth settlement in 1624 – a conflict about Separatist hegemony and freedom of conscience that resulted in the departure of nearly one-quarter of the English colonists. It is a sobering tale and a timely one, just prior to commemoration of the first Thanksgiving.
