University DEI Strategic Plan - Coastal Carolina University
In This Section

In 2015, the Coastal Carolina University community embraced the CCU 2016-2021 Strategic Plan.  The plan spells out the University‚Äôs commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion through Strategy 4: Accessibility, Inclusion and Diversity.  Central to this strategy is the commitment to develop an institutional environment that is absent of arbitrary barriers that limit access to students, faculty, staff and community members and to encouraging inclusivity as a standard of practice that empowers deeper and more expansive thinking, promotes action beyond understanding, and engages advocacy when that is the right thing to do.

Endorsed in fall 2020 by the Student Government Association, Staff Senate, and Faculty Senate, the CCU Access, Inclusion and Diversity (AID) Strategic Plan represents a collective effort of the campus to set a path for the future that is different than today, capitalizing on our strengths yet recognizing the gaps with the goal of launching CCU to greater, meaningful success.
