Technology Accommodations

Technology can be utilized in the classroom to remove barriers in order to successfully accommodate a student's specific academic needs.

 Audio Recording:

The student would utilize an audio recorder (device, computer, cell phone) to record lectures and in class discussion. The student is the only one permitted to utilize this accommodation, and if student is found to be sharing recordings with classmates (current or future), the student will forfeit right to utilize audio recordings.

LiveScribe 3 Notetaking:

Thi service provides a ballpoint pen with an embedded computer and digital audio recorder. When used with Anoto digital paper, it records what it writes for later uploading to a computer, and synchronizes those notes with any audio it has recorded.

This allows users to replay portions of a recording by tapping on the notes they were taking at the time the recording was made. It is also possible to select which portion of a recording to replay by clicking on the relevant portion of a page on-screen, once it has been synced to the Livescribe Desktop software. For more information, please visit the LiveScribe Website.

 Sonocent Audio Notetaker:

Annotate - Bring together all your information on a topic. Highlight audio, and add photos, slides and text notes alongside your recording.

Review - Listen back to the key moments of your recording at your own pace. Create more detailed notes and take dictations.

Engage - Quickly bring together information by topic or task. Export into multiple file formats and share with colleagues or classmates. For more information, please visit the Sonocent Website.
