Graduate Program Tuition Reduction

40% Tuition Reduction

In collaboration with our regional school districts, beginning Spring 2017, Coastal Carolina University (CCU) is offering eligible school district personnel in the South Carolina counties of Horry, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Marion, and Williamsburg the opportunity to register for graduate level coursework taught through the Spadoni College of Education at a payment rate of 40% of stated graduate tuition. Teachers and other school district instructional personnel may qualify for the discounted rate (40% reduced graduate rate) if they are accepted for graduate study at CCU and meet the conditions in the paragraph below. Both the degree seeking (M.Ed) application for the Spadoni College of Education and the Non-Degree Seeking Graduate application can be found here. The Ed.S. in Instructional Technology and the Ed.S. in Educational Leadership remains at 30% of stated graduate tuition.

Conditions for graduate course tuition reduction:
  1. Full-time certified employee (teacher, administrator, guidance counselor, etc.) in one of the following school districts at the time of enrollment in the course: Horry, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Marion, or Williamsburg. School districts will verify names of eligible employees with CCU.
  2. By his/her signature below, a district administrator acknowledges, consents, and supports the candidate’s enrollment in a Master of Education degree program or in a non-degree program for up to 12 hours of graduate coursework approved for professional development.
  3. Non-degree seeking graduate candidates acknowledge that courses taken in non-degree status for professional development may or may not be accepted into a graduate degree program and only up to 12 graduate credit hours may be approved for the reduction in tuition while in non-degree status.
  4. Candidates will submit this signed 40 Percent Tuition Reduction voucher with all other materials in the graduate application process or send to the Office of Graduate Studies at the address below each semester at least two weeks before classes start.

‌‌30% Tuition Reduction

Beginning Spring 2017 in collaboration with school districts outside the South Carolina counties of Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Marion, and Williamsburg, Coastal Carolina University (CCU) is offering eligible public school district personnel the opportunity to register for online graduate level coursework taught through the Spadoni College of Education at a payment rate of 30% of the stated graduate tuition. Teachers and other school district instructional personnel may qualify for this discounted rate if they are accepted for graduate study in the Master of Education (M.Ed.) program in Instructional Technology, the Certificate in Online Teaching and Training, Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Language, Literacy and Culture, or the Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Special Education at CCU.

Conditions for graduate course tuition reduction:
  1. Full-time certified public school employee (teacher, administrator, guidance counselor, etc.) outside of the following school districts at the time of enrollment in the course: Dillon, Florence 5, Horry, Georgetown, Marion, or Williamsburg. School districts must verify names of eligible employees with CCU.
  2. By his/her signature below, a district administrator acknowledges, consents, and supports the candidate’s enrollment in the Master of Education (M.Ed.) program in specialization in Instructional Technology, Certificate in Online Teaching and Training or Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Language, Literacy and Culture or Special Education.
  3. Candidates must submit this signed 30 Percent Tuition Reduction voucher along with all other materials in the graduate application process or send the voucher directly to the Office of Graduate Studies at the address below each semester at least two weeks before classes start.
