ARTD 309 Packaging Design (3 credits) (Prereq: ARTD 202) An introduction to the history and production of packaging. Students will explore printing processes associated with the production of packaging as well as branding, point of purchase, and use of color and typography. Folding, scoring, shelf space and market targeting will also be integrated into the projects. Students will design and produce everything from labels to complete packages for real world products.
