What research has led to this request?
The College was awarded SAF funds to create the Teacher Leader Academy. Students enrolled in this program need an academic class hour together. This course allows the students to have a common meeting time and work on leadership skills and mentoring aspect of the program. It is required as a component of the Teacher Leader Academy.
What impact will this request have on existing academic programs?
This course will positively impact all programs in the College of Education. It provides support to the underrepresented populations to increase retention and entry into the professional programs. Students will be prepared for leadership in their cohorts, in their field experiences, and service to the College.
What financial costs are associated with this request?
All financial costs will be covered by the student achievement funds.
If NO change in cost is anticipated, how is this possible?
