What research has led to this request?
I teach other courses that cover briefly topics such as forest and landscape ecology, and students have expressed interest in learning more, such as through independent studies and internships.
What impact will this request have on existing academic programs?
This lab will offer hands-on learning opportunities in mixed research methods frequently used in geography. It will thus increase the the geography offerings of our department.
