The 1954 Society at CCU
What is the 1954 Society?
The 1954 Society is the Senior Class Giving Initiative designed to build a tradition of philanthropy to Coastal Carolina University. This tradition is a way to unite graduating seniors to leave a legacy and demonstrate their Chanticleer Pride. Joining the 1954 Society gives seniors a chance to say "Thank You" to CCU for all it has offered...knowledge gained, experiences had and friendships made.
Why should I join the 1954 Society?
There are many reasons to join the 1954 Society; automatic membership in the Coastal Carolina University Alumni Association is one of them! For most students, the feeling of giving back to the University and paving a way for future Chanticleers gives them a reason to join and continue their support of CCU.
1954 Society gifts support the Coastal Fund, which provides support to current and future students, funds student activities, and improves life on campus. Your membership in the 1954 Society also ensures the spirit and pride felt as a student of Coastal Carolina University. This is the legacy that 1954 Society members graciously hand over to future Chanticleers.
As a 1954 Society member you will receive:
- Membership into the Coastal Carolina University Alumni Association
- An invitation to the exclusive 1954 Society Induction Ceremony for you, your family and friends on the day before graduation
- A 1954 Society lapel pin (presented to you by President DeCenzo in front of your family and friends at the 1954 Society Induction Ceremony)
