25 Years of Graduate Studies
The year 1993 was an exciting one at Coastal Carolina University! Not only did the school become an independent entity from the University of South Carolina system, CCU received approval for the first graduate program in the Spadoni College of Education. In fall of 1993, the University offered the Masters of Education in Early Childhood, Elementary Education and Secondary Education.
Since receiving accreditation for that first graduate program, graduate studies has expanded to 29 programs in business, humanities, science and many more in education.
In 2019, we will be adding a MA in Communication (fall) and a Ph.D. in Education (spring).
Coastal Carolina University has worked tirelessly to provide graduate degrees that benefit our students, community and the state of South Carolina. The University has grown tremendously and continues to thrive thanks to the dedication of our students, faculty, administration and staff.
