January 29, 2019

Conway, SC – Lewis M. Johnson, Co-Chief Investment Officer at Capital Wealth Advisors, will be a keynote speaker at Coastal Carolina University’s 21st annual Economic Growth and Real Estate Summit scheduled for Friday, March 1, at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Johnson is the author of “Trends & Tail Risks,” a bi-weekly Capital Wealth Advisors publication dedicated to the belief that deeper and broader knowledge has the potential to drive superior investment results. Additionally, Lewis has been featured in the media on CNBC’s “Squawk Box,” the TD Ameritrade Network and “Real Vision.”

Johnson’s talk will address the cyclical nature of real estate and his opinions on how to avoid becoming a victim of the cycle. Throughout the past 20 years, Johnson has analyzed and invested in more than 100 cycles and will share what he has learned about harnessing the power of what he calls cyclical volatility.

“I have known Lewis for quite a while. He is a good friend and I have tremendous respect for him as an executive and most certainly as an investment strategist and portfolio manager,” said Joe Moglia, former head football coach at Coastal Carolina University and current Chairman and former CEO of TD Ameritrade. “I am excited and grateful that he would take the time to share his thoughts and expertise at the Growth Summit event this year.”

Lewis is also President, Co-Founder and Partner of Fundamental Global Investors, LLC, an alternative investment manager; Co-Chairman of BK Technologies, Inc.; Co-Chairman of 1347 Property Insurance Holdings, Inc.; Director of Ballantyne Strong, Inc.; and Director of Itasca Capital, Ltd.

Prior to partnering with Capital Wealth Advisors and co-founding Fundamental Global Investors, Lewis was a private investor from 2010-2012.
