2021 Homecoming Student Schedule

Pre-Homecoming Events

**Pointed Events

  • Tuesday, September 21 at 7 p.m. – Men’s Soccer vs. Florida Atlantic University
  • Friday, October 15 at 6 p.m. - Volleyball vs ULM
  • Friday, October 22 at 7 p.m. - Women’s Soccer vs Little Rock

Attendance will be taken at these athletic competitions.  Groups that have at least 10% of the individuals on their roster will receive participation points that will go toward the group competition.



Miss Teal and Bronze Pageant, Sponsored by CAB

7 p.m. – Wheelwright Auditorium

A group of lovely ladies will compete for the crown in the annual Miss Teal and Bronze Pageant. Come cheer on your favorites as they compete to move onto the Miss South Carolina Pageant.  This event is free but ticketed. The finalists for the Spirit of the Chanticleer Award will be announced at this event.



Paint the Campus Teal - POINTED EVENT

9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Prince Lawn

Each team will be assigned a section of sidewalk to decorate based on CCU spirit and the Homecoming theme.  Teams will receive participation points, as well as extra points for placing.  All designs MUST be completed by 3 p.m. to be judged.

Annual Teal Tuesday T-Shirt Swap

Announced via the @ccuinvolved and @ccutealandbronze Instagram accounts on the day of the swap.

Bring a rival school’s shirt and receive a free, limited-edition spirit item. Remember, you have to wear your teal to get the teal!

Annual Homecoming Talent Show, Sponsored by CAB - POINTED EVENT

7 p.m., Wheelwright Auditorium and Live Streamed

Individuals, duos, trios, and small group acts will make up this year’s annual Talent Show. Organizations will receive points for representatives auditioning to be a part of the show.  Additional points will be awarded if for the representatives of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes (if applicable). Individuals not associated with an organization are also welcome to audition. This event is free but ticketed.



Farmers Market, Sponsored by Sustain Coastal                                   

9 a.m. –2 p.m., Prince Lawn

Embrace the fall and visit the CCU Farmers Market. Come on out, enjoy the weather, and visit the various vendors from the Grand Strand Community.

“Veterans Welcome Home Resource Center” Supply Drive - POINTED EVENT

3-6 p.m., HTC Concourse

With Veterans Day coming on up on November 11, we wanted to serve our Military Heroes in some small way.  This year’s Homecoming community service project will be a toiletries drive for “Veterans Welcome Home Resource Center,” a local organization, which is housed in Little River, SC. 

Outdoor Showing of the Incredibles - POINTED EVENT

6:30 p.m., Prince Lawn

Join us out on the lawn for an "Incredible" time.  We will be shoing the original Incredibles film under the stars.  Snacks will be included and the first 50 people there will get a special giveaway.  Group's competing in the Homecoming competition - 15% of your roster must be in attendance for you to get participation points.



Superhero Teal Tailgate Lunch

11 a.m. - 2 p.m. in Hicks Dining Hall

Superhero Teal Tailgate Dinner

5 p.m. - 8 p.m. in the UP Dining Hall

Superhero Dash - POINTED EVENT

8 p.m. Location Blanton Park

Don your favorite superhero costume and race (or take a stroll) around CCU!  Dashing not your thing?  We will have alternate activities at the start for anyone to help celebrate our U.S. Military Veteran heroes on Veterans Day.

THERE WILL BE A SUPERHERO COSTUME CONTEST!  First, second, and third place will recieve a prize and any registered group who has a representative in the contest will get participation points.



NPHC Step Show

7 p.m. in the Wheelwright Auditorium

The National Pan-Hellenic Council will host their annual tradition, the NPHC Homecoming Step Show. This event showcases the traditions, culture, and creativity of the 7 Historically Black fraternities and sororities at CCU.  Tickets will be available starting Monday, October 25, 2021. ($10 before the event, $11.50 online, or $15 the day of the event)



Conway Homecoming Parade

9 a.m. in Downtown Conway

The parade is back! Join members of the campus and Conway community for Homecoming 2021.  CCU's newest president, Dr. Michael Benson, will serve as our grand marshall as we celebrate the Chanticleers!

Parade Route: 3rd Avenue & Powell Street, right on Laurel Street, ends at Laurel and Elm Street, Conway, SC.

Homecoming Football Game vs. Georgia State

2 p.m. at Brooks Stadium

“The Spirit of the Chanticleer” award will be announced on the field at halftime, Overall winners of the Homecoming Competition for each of the categories will also be announced between the third and fourth quarter.

Banner Competition

Banners will be posted and will hang around campus all week.
