Virtual Honors Symposium
The Honors Symposium is an opportunity for students in the HTC Honors College to publicly present their scholarship.
Because of the campus closure, we have moved the 2020 Honors Symposium online. The event is meant as a showcase for scholarship that Honors students have done over the past year. This year, we especially welcome scholarship that was meant for the Undergraduate Research Competition, as well as all students who want a place to present their Honors Thesis scholarship.
The Virtual Symposium will go live during Exam week in May 2020, and we will take submissions up until Sunday, May 3. Please use the link below to access the submission form.
Formats:
Posters: Posters should be submitted in PDF format. Please work with your faculty mentor to design your poster according to the standards of your particular discipline.
Presentations: Presentations should be submitted in a standard video format (mp4, wmv, etc.) and are limited to 10 min in length. The simplest form of a presentation would be a narrated PowerPoint, but we certainly encourage you to be more creative if you can be! If you choose to submit a narrated PowerPoint, it must be exported as a video for submission. (Use the Export > Create option to create a mp4 video for submission.)
Submissions
For your submission, have your poster or presentation file ready, as well as a short (two sentence or less) description of your scholarship for posting on the Symposium website. If your work has an abstract, have that ready to submit as well.
