Fall Move In for New Students and Transfers

New Students and Transfers (except Bridge) will check-in on Saturday, August 17, 2019, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

You will park in the Overflow Lot at Horry-Georgetown Technical College (HGTC) and take a shuttle to the check in location, Map to HGTC Parking Lot. In order to make it a smooth process for you, the time you are allowed to check-in is based on your housing assignment, New Student and Transfer Move In Schedule 2019. If you are a registered member of ChantiCREW, click on the ChantiCREW block below to see your move in schedule.

Please make careful note of your assigned check-in time as arriving outside of these assigned times will extend your wait time and is not advisable. If you have an emergency delay and cannot check in until after 5 p.m. on Saturday, call the main housing office (843-349-6400) BEFORE 5 p.m. to make alternate arrangments. If you are unable to check-in on Saturday, you may arrive on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Please see the Returning Student schedule for details.

After you check-in, you will be taken back to your vehicle and go to your building to move in. A map and unloading pass will be provide to you at check in to assist you with getting to your building. The unloading pass should be hung on your rearview mirror to assist Public Safety with getting you safely to your building. On Saturday,  ChantiCREW will be around Elvington Loop and Township Circle to help you unload quickly.

Any residents who arrive after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 18, 2019 will go to the 24-hour community desk to check-in. No check-ins will occur between 3:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Sunday as we transition the process from the centralized check-in location to the community desks.

  • Township Circle Community Desk (located in Ingle Hall) - Eaglin, Ingle, The Woods and The Gardens
  • Elvington Loop Community Desk (located in Tradition Hall) - Chanticleer, CINO, Teal and Tradition
  • University Place Community Desk (located in Grand Strand 102) - Blue Ridge, Piedmont, Grand Strand, Low Country and Sandhills
