Fall Semester Closing
University Housing Closes for Fall Semester
It is hard to believe it is time to close the residential facilities for winter break. All University Housing facilities will close on Tuesday, December 17 at 12 p.m. Fall graduating students participating in commencement exercises are approved to stay until Wednesday, December 18 at 12 p.m.
Residents returning for spring semester are not required to move out. Take home any valuables or items you may need over the break, as you are unable to access your room after closing. Make plans to leave within 24 hours after your last exam or no later than Tuesday, December 17, at 12 p.m., whichever comes first. University Housing reopens for spring semester on Saturday, January 11 at 8 a.m.
If you are not returning to CCU (or HGTC for Bridge or Nursing 2+2) for spring semester, complete the Intent to Vacate form in MyCoastalHome. Schedule an appointment with your RA no less than 24 hours prior to your planned departure. You should check out within 24 hours after your last exam or no later than Tuesday, December 17, at 12 p.m., whichever comes first.
RAs will conduct closing floor meetings prior to the end of the semester. All residents are expected to attend to receive vital information regarding University Housing fall closing. Below is a link to the Winter Closing Newsletter with more information. Have a relaxing break and see you in 2020!
