Fall Semester Closing

University Housing Closes for Fall Semester

It is hard to believe it is time to close the residential facilities for winter break. All University Housing facilities will close on Tuesday, December 15 at 12 p.m. We are asking all residents to complete the Fall Closing 2020 form in MyCoastalHome to indicate the date and time you anticipate departing for fall semester. The form will be available starting on Monday, November 2 and we encourage you complete it by Thursday, November 12. This information will allow us to position the necessary resources for rest of the semester. If your plans change, you can update the form any time.

Residents returning for spring semester are not required to move out. Take home any valuables or items you may need over the break, as you are unable to access your room after closing. Make plans to leave no later than Tuesday, December 15, at 12 p.m.  University Housing reopens for spring semester on Saturday, January 9 at 8 a.m.

If you are not returning to CCU (or HGTC for Bridge or Nursing 2+2) for spring semester, complete the Intent to Vacate form in MyCoastalHome. Schedule an appointment with your RA no less than 24 hours prior to your planned departure. You should check out no later than Tuesday, December 15, at 12 p.m. We will begin accepting Intent to Vacate request for spring starting on Monday, November 2.

RAs will conduct closing floor meetings in early November. All residents are expected to attend to receive vital information regarding University Housing fall closing. Below is a link to the Fall 2020 Closing Newsletter with more information. Have a relaxing break and see you in 2021!
