Fall Semester Closing
University Housing Closes for Fall Semester
It's hard to believe it's time to close the residential facilities for winter break. All University Housing facilities close on Tuesday, Dec. 14 at 12 p.m. Residents should complete the Fall 2021 Closing form in MyCoastalHome to indicate the date and time they anticipate departing for fall semester. The form will be available starting on Monday, Nov. 29. This information allows us to position the necessary resources for rest of the semester. If your plans change, you can adjust your departure date/time on the form any time.
Residents returning for spring semester are not required to move out. Take home any valuables or items you may need over the break, as you are unable to access your room after closing. University Housing reopens for spring semester on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 8 a.m.
If you are not returning to CCU (or HGTC for Bridge or Nursing 2+2) for spring semester, complete the Intent to Vacate form in MyCoastalHome. Schedule an appointment with your RA through the Fall 2021 Closing form no less than 24 hours prior to your planned departure. We will accept Intent to Vacate request for spring starting on Monday, Nov. 1.
