As a music major, students choose a concentration from Music Performance, Commercial Music and Jazz, and Music General Studies.
The Music General Studies curriculum gives you a broad program of general music education rather than intense specialization. After completing the music foundation sequence, you round out your undergraduate curriculum from a wide and increasing range of upper-level music electives such as Recording Technology, Composition, Contemporary Commercial Arranging, and Improvisation/Jazz and Popular Theory.
