Welcome All Students

Welcome to Coastal Carolina University! We are so grateful you that you chose us. Here at Teal Nation we take care of our own and make the best effort to guide you in path that’s right for you. Being a college student presents its own set of challenges—new environment, new friends, new professors, new culture. However, to make this newness less daunting as possible, below are resources necessary to make your stay here at Coastal Carolina University a peaceful, seamless journey. 

New Student Checklist
(for students recently accepted to CCU)

Prior to Orientation
  •  Log into WebAdvisor and verify your personal information. If it is not correct, request that it be changed. 
  •  Complete your FAFSA and have your FAFSA sent to Coastal Carolina University (Code: 003451) 
  •  Head to Financial Aid’s Website and explore scholarships offered at CCU 
  •  Submit deposit 
  •  Have final transcripts sent to Coastal Carolina University from your high school 
  •  Apply for University Housing and a Meal Plan 
  •  Send immunization records 
  •  Register for Summer Orientation date 
  •  Connect with CCU via Facebook, IG, and Twitter 
After Orientation
  •  View Tuition and fees
  •  Register for payment plan (if applicable) 
  •  Pack for college 
  •  Purchase parking permit 
  •  Attend CINO TIE 
  •  Purchase textbooks

Transfer Student Checklist
(for students who recently transferred to CCU)

Prior to Orientation
  • Log in to WebAdvisor and verify your personal information. If it is not correct, request that it be changed. 
  • Complete your FAFSA and have your FAFSA sent to Coastal Carolina University (Code: 003451) 
  • Head to Financial Aid’s website and explore scholarships offered at CCU. Contact a Financial Aid Counselor to see about financial aid opportunities. 
  • Submit deposit to the university 
  • Have final transcripts sent to Coastal Carolina University from your previous college or university (if you have earned less than 24 college credit hours, also submit your high school transcript) 
  • Apply for University Housing and a Meal Plan 
  • Have immunization records sent to Coastal Carolina University 
  • Register for Transfer Orientation date (either online or on-site) 
  • Connect with CCU via Facebook, IG, and Twitter 
After Orientation
  • View Tuition and fees
  • Register for payment plan (if applicable) 
  • Pack for CCU 
  • Purchase parking decal 
  • Attend Transfer Welcome Events 
  • Purchase textbooks

Before the First Day of Classes

  • Write your class schedule (include meeting times, building locations, and room numbers) in the Teal Pages or another daily planner.
  • Walk your schedule. Navigate campus and find your classes to lessen first day jitters and stress.
  • Schedule an appointment with your advisor to make schedule changes.
  • Purchase and/or pick up your textbooks from the Chanticleer store.
  • Pick up parking permit from public safety.
  • Review transportation information. (Ex.: nearest shuttle stop, color of shuttle you need, location of parking lots that match your student status, etc.).
  • Complete Haven Live.
  • Download and browse the CCU MOBILE app.
  • Check your CCU email, ensure your operating system is up-to-date, and install SafeConnect to access the Coastal Carolina University network.
  • Sign up for CCU Alert emergency messages
  • Register bicycle or other valuables with Public Safety.
  • Check out faculty profiles of your professors by using the search bar on coastal.edu
  • Load your backpack with supplies for class

Reminders

  • Visit WebAdvisor to view your tuition account balance. Pay your bill or start a payment plan.
  • Ensure immunization records have been received.
  • Grant WebAdvisor access to parents or guardians (if applicable).
