We serve EVERYONE! The office serves all students, faculty, staff and the local community. The office strives to provide a supportive and comfortable campus atmosphere that enhances living/learning experiences and supports achievement and success for students. The overall goal is to enhance the academic, social and cultural development of all students through a variety of programming, education and student organizations.

Ashley Gaddy, M.A.

Ashley Gaddy is a native of North Carolina and received her Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies and Masters of Arts in Liberal Studies from The University of North Carolina Wilmington. She is currently a doctoral student in Cultural Studies at George Mason University. Ashley started at Coastal Carolina in July of 2018 and enjoys time on the beach when she is not writing for school.
Franklin Ellis, Psy.D.

Dr. Franklin Ellis, Jr. is from Florence, SC. He is a proud graduate of Coastal Carolina University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology. He has earned a master’s in mental health counseling and his doctorate in marriage and family therapy. As the Assistant Director of Intercultural and Inclusion Student Services, he is ecstatic to serve the CCU community and give back to the University that gave him the tools for success in his life.
Bertha C. Fladger, MBA

Bertha Fladger received her undergraduate degree in business administration with a minor in management from Coker College in Hartsville, S.C. She received her master’s degree in human resources development from Webster University in Myrtle Beach, S.C. She has been with Coastal Carolina University since December 2004. She is an adviser to The Coastal Inspirational Ambassadors Gospel Choir (CIA) and Women of Color (WOC). Fladger is a 2016 graduate of Leadership Grand Strand Class XXXVI and is an Honorary Member of The National Society of Leadership and Success.
