Ask the Library
Librarians and staff are available to answer your questions in a variety of ways through the Ask the Library service. Students are always welcome to come to the library to ask questions in person, but the library also answers questions through live chat, text, email and phone services.
Research Appointments
Students can schedule a one-on-one consultation with a librarian on various research topics. Fill out the Research Appointments form to schedule a session.
CCUMOBILE Library Pages
The library has pages on the CCUMOBILE mobile application to help you achieve your research and study needs. Search the library's Discover! service to find books, articles, media and more. Find the library's hours, contact information, and address. View and renew items you have checked out using the My Account feature. Find open computers in the library by using the computer availability maps app. And use the Ask the Library service from any location. Download the CCUMOBILE app to learn more.
Citation Help
Use the How to Cite Resources research guide to get help with MLA, APA, CBE/CSE, Chicago/Turabian, ASA, and ASPA style citations.
Computer Availability Maps
Find open computers in the library by using the computer availability maps service. The maps show whether computers are available or in-use, across the entire library and commons. The maps are also displayed on monitors above the Peter C. Bolton Help Desk in the commons lobby.
Course Reserves Search
Search for course reserves by using the library course reserves search service. Books, videos, DVDs, scores, and other materials placed on reserve by instructors are available at the library circulation desk.
Distance Learning Services
The library offers services to students taking distance learning classes. Electronic journals, e-books, streaming video, digital collections and many other library resources are also available online to the CCU community. Equipment Checkout
Kimbel Library offers multiple items for checkout, including laptops, Flipcams, digital cameras, headphones, turntables, jump drives, and much more. See the Equipment Checkout page for further information.
My Library Account
View items you have checked out, renew online, see the status of any loan requests you may have, and view fines and fees on the My Library Account page.
Print, Copy & Scan
Public printing is available from all library and commons computers. Print jobs may be sent to the Pharos Print Release stations located throughout both buildings. Self-service copiers are available for use during all hours that the library is open. Photocopiers can scan documents to email free of charge. Research Guides
Librarians at Kimbel Library have designed research guides on a variety of subjects helpful to students, such as course and subject guides, research tips, and campus information resources.

Study Spaces
The library provides a variety of study spaces in the library and commons buildings, including group study rooms, presentation rooms, study carrels, soft seating study areas, and more. Videos and Tutorials
Kimbel Library has created videos and tutorials for students on a variety of subjects, such as avoiding plagiarism, finding the right keywords to use in research, citing resources, and determining the difference between scholarly and popular resources. Learn more on the Videos and Tutorials page.
