Yoav Wachsman, assistant professor of economics, joined the Coastal Carolina University faculty in 2003. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Salisbury University and a master's degree and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Hawaii.
He is currently the editor of Bridges, an online scholarly journal of interdisciplinary studies. Additionally, he organizes the Wall Interdisciplinary Talks and a series of workshops on personal finances.
His areas of expertise are experimental economics and game theory, natural resource economics and economics of tourism, cooperation and communication in social dilemma, economic impact, especially of environmental projects, the development of tourism destinations, the global environment and international tourism.
