Robert F. Salvino, assistant professor of economics, joined the Coastal Carolina University faculty in 2007. He earned a bachelor's degree in geology from Marshall University in 1997, as well as a master's degree and a Ph.D. in economics from Georgia State University in 2004 and 2007, respectively.
Prior to coming to Coastal, he was a research associate at the Fiscal Research Center in the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University. He has served as a financial research consultant for the CThree Group in Atlanta. Salvino also taught economics at Georgia Military College.
Salvino has private industry experience in real estate analysis, property insurance and the financial analytics of utility regulation.
His areas of expertise include urban, regional and real estate economics; state and local public finance; and applied microeconomics.
