Kehui Xu, assistant professor of marine science, joined the Coastal Carolina University faculty in 2008. He earned bachelor's and master's degrees in marine geology at Ocean University of China. He earned a doctorate degree in marine science at the College of William and Mary in 2006.
Xu has been involved in a range of interdisciplinary projects studying sequence stratigraphy, sediment transport, surficial processes and numerical modeling in both the Yangtze River and East China Sea and the Mississippi River and Texas-Louisiana Shelf.
His areas of expertise include the flux and fate of fluvial sediment from the land to the ocean.
