Cynthia Port, assistant professor of English, joined the Coastal Carolina faculty in 2007. She earned a bachelor's degree in English from Barnard College, a master's degree in English and comparative literature from Columbia University, and a doctorate in English from the University of Pennsylvania.
Port is co-editor of "Age, Culture, Humanities: An Interdisciplinary Journal," published by The Athenaeum Press at Coastal Carolina University. She has also published several articles on age studies and on 20th century women's writing.
Her areas of expertise include age studies in the humanities, British and Anglophone literature, modernism, contemporary writing and women's writing.
