Computational group theory and representation theory

Thomas Hoffman, assistant professor of mathematics, joined the Coastal Carolina University faculty in 2004. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science from Western Oregon State College in 1996, a master's degree in mathematics from Oregon State University in 1998, and a Ph.D. in mathematics degree from the University of Arizona in 2004. He has published an essay entitled "Numerical Measures of Two Graphs."
His research focuses on representation theory of finite groups, graph theory and linear algebra.
His areas of expertise include computational group theory and representation theory.
