Louis Rubbo, assistant professor of astronomy, joined the Coastal Carolina University faculty in 2007. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado in 1999 and master's and doctorate degrees from Montana State University in 2001 and 2004, respectively. He is the co-author of multiple publications, including "Relativistic Effects in Extreme Mass Ratio Gravitational Wave Bursts" and "Characterizing the Galactic Gravitational Wave Background with LISA."
His areas of expertise include astronomy, physics, gravitational wave astronomy, general relativity, archeoastronomy, physics education and astronomy education.
