College of Science
Juliana Harding joined the CCU faculty in January 2011 after more than a decade as a Senior Marine Scientist at the College of William & Mary/Virginia Institute of Marine Science.
Harding earned a B.S. and M.S. in biology from the University of Dayton (Ohio) while studying freshwater mollusks, crustaceans and fish. She earned her Ph.D. from the College of William & Mary (Virginia) where her dissertation research focused on oyster reef community ecology.
She has published on topics ranging from the trophic ecology of estuarine fishes, decadal trends in recruitment for several fishery species, and the biology and invasion ecology of the veined rapa whelk, an invasive shellfish predator, to the description of environmental chronologies across century-time scales using shellfish from archaeological sites.
