College of Science
Keshav Jagannathan, an assistant professor of mathematics, joined the Coastal Carolina University faculty in 2005. He earned a Ph.D in statistics in 2005 from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. While at Bowling Green, Jagannathan earned several awards including the Outstanding International Student Award and the Lukacs award.
Since joining Coastal, he has presented at several national and regional meetings of the Mathematical Association of America, the American Mathematical Society and the American Statistical Association.
His research interests include non-Gaussian distributions, specifically the Skewed Double Exponential family of distributions. He is also interested in the many applied aspect of statistics including, but not restricted to, regression models, design of experiments, biostatistics and nonparametric statistics.
